people that make it out only do so through compelling affirmation.

someone told them they were more than their shortcomings or mistakes. that same someone saw fit to account for all the ways they mattered. a man may be hard pressed to find real in the world but knows it when he sees it so that even when his glasses fail he knows enough to get a new prescription.
